An "empty nester" house on a sloping meadow, accessible from the south by moving along the side of the hill. The best view is to the north – that is agreeable in a house that is primarily used in spring, summer, and fall. The clients asked for major spaces, indoor and out, to be on one level. This suggested a sequential arrangement of drive, motor court, house, and pool court along the axis of movement across the site, with the meadow rising to the east and falling away to the west.
