A new building was built on a small, steeply-sloping site on the south side of the campus. A physical proximity is created among several closely-related areas of the sciences: Bio-chemistry, Biology, Neuroscience, and Psychology. Machines in a two-story attic and in a basement service spaces for teaching, research, and equipment. The arrangement of spaces in the building facilitates student-faculty interaction both in and out of class.
